2 Business View Caribbean JAMPRO Jamaica means business The Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO) is an agency of Jamaica’s Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation. The Agency is charged with promoting business opportunities in export and investment to the local and international private sector. Explaining JAMPRO’s role in Jamaica’s economy, Presi- dent Diane Edwards said JAMPRO was created to be “The country’s primary facilitator of foreign direct in- vestment into private sector projects that are in need of investment capital.
