There is an existing 99-year renewable lease on the
Lighthouse Bay Resort, and the complete infrastruc-
ture is in place to support it, which is expandable for
future development. In addition to its nine guest suites,
the resort’s Clubhouse building features a waterfront
restaurant and freshwater pool, while the Lighthouse
BarSpa offers a range of spa services including full
body massages and detoxing/rejuvenating scrubs.
Additionally, there is a desalinization plant on site that
generates up to 5,550 gallons of water per day; a full
power plant with four generators; a communications
tower providing full Wi-Fi Internet and telecommunica-
tions; a helipad; three boat docks; and paved roads
within the resort.
“I am still fascinated every day that I stand on this end-
less beach looking over these gentle and clear Carib-
bean waters. It may well be the most relaxing combi-
nation of sand, sea, sun and breeze ever created by
Nature. Our guests say this is the most beautiful place
in the world. I happen to know it is,” said seller Patrick
Kerrigan, who currently owns the property with busi-
ness partners Mike Branker and Donald Dillon.
“Barbuda is a place that is near and dear to my heart,”
said Branker, who was introduced to the island more
than 50 years ago by his grandfather. “This auction is
a wonderful opportunity. There aren’t many chances
to own beachfront properties like this, not only in the
Caribbean, but in the entire world. This is a one-of-a-
kind-opportunity to own what can only be described as
a piece of natural beauty.”
