We dove into fascinating interviews for this month’s issue with a variety of thriving businesses across the beautiful islands. With the goal of bringing you the latest in cutting-edge business savvy news in addition to a front-row seat into the plans that dynamic organizations across the Caribbean are implementing, we continue to keep our eye on key business developments. The month of February may be marked by love and romance with Valentine’s Day at the top of the mind of many. As Valentine’s celebrations ramp up for many, the Caribbean-based businesses that we interviewed for this issue focus their efforts on another common goal; continued productivity. In fact, the region is booming as we climb out of the pandemic and tourist numbers are up to comparable pre- COVID numbers. Although business prospects remain robust, it may not all be roses as we move into February with supply chain issues still affecting many companies and skilled employee shortages touching every business sector on the islands. Despite these ongoing challenges, embracing the opportunity for continued growth and sustainable business practices remains a top priority for all the companies we had the privilege to interview. Construction and home design are among the different sectors that are back on their feet and walking confidently into the second quarter of 2023. There is no denying that the Caribbean housing sector is flourishing. With demand for luxury homes on the rise and the increasing need to turn to companies that are well-versed in the unique factors that impact island living, CG Construction and Consultancy and Bau Homes are swimming beyond the local competition. Both companies have desirable housing projects in the pipeline and are greeting client demand with enthusiasm. We were also able to focus our view on the financial sector and retail, distribution sector with a lineup of interviews with P3 Paper Plastic Products and Antigua Computer Technology. With a laser, sharp customer focus, and a keen knowledge of the tech and retail needs of the islands, both companies have come out on top. Keeping the financial footing secure, we also had the opportunity to profile Jamaica Stock Exchange LTD to gain a glimpse into the profitable organization. Providing the gateway into the beautiful region, we also sat down with the Airport Manager at Grantley Adams International Airport to discuss operational upgrades that are taking off and how the airport is meeting increasing passenger traffic for 2023. As with every issue, my hope as editor is that our valued readers continue to learn something with every new article and come away with a positive business view.
