Business View Caribbean June 2023

2 BUSINESS VIEW CARIBBEAN VOLUME 10, ISSUE 6 With a view to upcoming business initiatives, Business View Caribbean took to the sealine shores of the dynamic Caribbean region. We dove into the inner workings of leading construction companies across the region as well as seized the opportunity to speak with Jamaican Government officials concerning economic resilience and trade relations pertaining to the sun-drenched region. Focused as always on our goal of bringing you the latest in cutting-edge business savvy news in addition to a front-row seat into the initiatives stemming from dynamic organizations across the Caribbean, we continue to keep our eye on key business developments in the island nations beaming with unparalleled beauty. Tourists have made their way back to the sunny Caribbean in droves while locals are getting their taste of the benefits of a resilient housing and construction sector. For those looking for an island escape, or for those residents needing top-tier housing options, we spoke to two leading construction companies, CIC Construction and Teichroeb & Sons to discuss their multiple projects in both the residential and commercial sphere. Both companies have constructed winning business models and continue to build a loyal customer base. Construction is hitting high notes across the region and so too is the local economy with robust numbers to boast about as we head into the second half of the calendar year. We caught up with the Minister of Industry, Investment, and Commerce for Jamaica to discuss the ministry’s top economic initiatives and the strength of the country’s economy as we put the pandemic behind us. With sustainability in mind, best business practices up front, and a resilient economy at their fingertips, the companies we were pleased to profile highlight the draw of the Caribbean islands. Not just a tourist haven, but also a business- savvy region, the islands are continuing to demonstrate growth, resilience, and fortitude as we put the dark days of the pandemic behind us. As with every issue, my hope as editor is that our valued readers continue to learn something with every new article and come away with a positive business view.
