Business View Caribbean - June 2024
EDITOR’S NOTES June marks many things; graduations, weddings, and the unofficial start of summer. With holidays on the minds of many, tourist efforts are in full swing across the beach-lined shores of the stunning Caribbean. Flocking in high numbers to this serene corner of the world, tourists are soaking up what the region offers, and local tourist organizations are seeing guest numbers soar. Bright economic prospects remain for many regions through the Caribbean islands and this trend is only set to continue. Still boasting tourism numbers equal to, and sometimes surpassing pre-COVID numbers, economies throughout the islands are strengthened as we enter the second half of 2024. The summer season is set to only benefit these healthy economic prospects. For June’s issue of Business View Caribbean, we sat down with several Caribbean-based tourist organizations and companies including Century 21 Aruba, the Grenada Investments Development Corporation, Invest Turks & Tacos as well as the family favorite vacation spot, the Radisson Grenada Beach Resort. Each organization is proving that by implementing dynamic initiatives, the sunny skies overhead is limitless. While Locals continue to look at housing options, tourists are looking for the best spot to enjoy all that the island life can offer. Century 21 Aruba fills the needs of the locals both on the commercial and residential side providing property options coupled with the expertise of the local market. We spoke with their team to learn a little more about their recipe for island real estate success for tourists looking for a second property to locals finding a place to call home. The Granada Investment Development Corporation and Invest Turks & Caicos know that the Caribbean region is not only a great place to visit but an equally profitable place to invest. Offering foreigners the lay of the land for real estate and business investment opportunities, both organizations are doing very well as we speed through 2024. We also profiled the popular and family-first Radisson Grenada Beach Resort. The General Manager shared the secret to their guest experience and shed light on new offerings for its valued guests. It is as clear as the crystal waters surrounding the islands that continued growth is on the Caribbean horizon, as are the progressive initiatives of those we were fortunate to chat with. With sustainability in mind, best business practices up front, and a resilient economy at their fingertips, the undeniable draw of the Caribbean islands remains tangible. As with every issue, my hope as Editor in Chief is that our valued readers continue to learn something new with each issue we produce for you.
