A conversation with Minister Anthony Hylton
The Ministry of Industry, Investment, and Commerce
of Jamaica is the key driver and thought leader for fa-
cilitating investments in the country’s economy and
preparing local businesses and entrepreneurs to take
advantage of Jamaica’s entry into the global supply
chain. Its mandate is to lead in the development of
policies that will create growth and jobs, while achiev-
ing social inclusion and consumer protection.
The Ministry, working with its stakeholders, is primarily
responsible for business policy development, monitor-
ing, and evaluation, while giving direction and over-
sight to a cluster of 19 implementing departments and
agencies.
