But the problem was more extensive than one scale at
one supermarket. Santos continues: “When we tried
to get the scales fixed at the various supermarkets, it
became obvious that one of the problems these su-
permarkets had was the scale suppliers were delin-
quent or not very good at service and support of their
electronic scales. So, that led me to contact Mettler
Toledo, and we started to represent them on a non-
exclusive basis. And since then we’ve grown from
strength to strength with them, and now we represent
most of the Mettler Toledo range of products in the
English-speaking Caribbean.”
