name to Rentokil Initial, and moved from just supply-
ing feminine hygiene units to what Goldson calls, to-
tal rest room solutions. “We provided air fresheners,
hand soap, toilet seat cleaners, toilet sanitizers, basi-
cally anything for a rest room,” he says. “And so we be-
gan to grow that aspect of the business. At the same
time, we had scaled down significantly the pest control
business and we were just doing odd jobs.”
Gradually, however, the company began to get back
into pest control primarily because Jamaica began to
heavily regulate the industry. “Before, there was no
