Supplementing that focus is Rentokil Initial’s constant
innovation and experimentation with new techniques
and solutions. “To strengthen our pest control, we con-
tinue to be innovators in identifying areas and meth-
ods that are not the norm,” Goldson relates. “We want
to move away from those things that in any way cause
persons any dislocation. For example, what can we do
to capture mosquitoes rather than apply chemicals in
the air as often as we have to, presently? What else
can we use?” Answering his own query, Goldson says,
“Presently there’s a new mosquito trap which we’re
now trying in Jamaica, which basically attracts the
mosquito into a container and kills the larvae. We’re
testing that one to see how effective it is, so that a
person can still work in an environment and be pro-
tected.”
