Founded in 2004, Perfection Services Limited (PSL) has been delivering DNV certified storage and transportation containers to the upstream energy activities in Trinidad. PSL is a limited liability company registered in Trinidad and Tobago with its head office at Santa Margarita, St. Augustine and, operating base on 7 acres at the LABIDCO Industrial Estate, La Brea.
PSL is the regional partner for the Ferguson Group and has the largest fleet of DNV certified containers on the ground in Trinidad.
Perfection Services Limited also represents suppliers for tubular pipe transport racks and modular accommodation units and, provides certification and inspection services for lifting and transport equipment.

By Agreement dated December 1, 2004 Perfection Services Limited (PSL) became the sole agent for Ferguson Seacabs Limited (FSL) of Norway for the supply of Cargo Container Units in Trinidad and Tobago. According to this Agreement, PSL is responsible for the marketing and rental of inter alia offshore containers, slings, shackles and nets supplied by FSL for lease in Trinidad and Tobago. PSL shall conduct and conclude all negotiations with the Lessee with regards to the specifications and to the terms and conditions of the lease of the equipment.
While PSL shall make all administrative and other arrangements with local clients for the lease of the equipment, FSL undertakes to supply the equipment to Trinidad and Tobago so as to meet the exigencies of the local demand while maintaining adequate reserves. FSL shall also provide such technical expertise as may be necessary from time to time.
FSL is the leading supplier etc. to clients such as BP, Chevron, Exxon Mobil, Weatherford, Halliburton, Shell, Woodside, Diamond Offshore and Transocean.

Why is DNV certification important?
Most countries have rules and regulations related to safety for almost all products. The focus on environmental aspects is growing, ranging from the use of hazardous substances to energy efficiency and recycling. Compliance with regulations is therefore no longer just a matter of getting the design in line with product safety specifications, it relates to the whole lifecycle and sustainability of the product. The common denominator for most of these rules and regulations is a need, mandatory or on a voluntary basis, for an independent body to examine the product and make a statement about its compliance.
How long is the DNV certification for CCU’s valid?
DNV certification of new built CCU’s is valid for four (4) years thereafter the units require re-certification.
Can an existing unit be DNV certified?
The DNV certification process is extremely ridged and requires verification along the entire fabrication process; from source of materials to testing of the finished produce. It would therefore be extremely difficult to certify an existing unit as it may not be possible to validate the pedigree of the material nor an audit of the fabrication processes.
